Red Pepper to debate Africa Commission on Radio4

On tommorrow's Radio 4 live discussion programme 'The Message' (Friday 24 June 4.30-5pm), Red Pepper's Stuart Hodkinson will be debating Paul Vallely, Associate Editor of The Independent and a leading member of the Blair's Commission for Africa, and Dominic Sandbrook, author of 'Never Had it So Good: A History of Britain from Suez to the Beatles'. The programme will discuss the relationship between the media and the protest movement. Red Pepper will be challenging the role of celebrity-led movements like Make Poverty History and some of the harmful political messages they send out about the causes of poverty and the agency of social change.

Listen live on 92-95 FM or 198 LW
